Beautiful Public Park that is located on the bank of river Thames in Caversham Area. Caversham is a suburb in the Reading Town of the English County of Berkshire which was formerly known as Oxfordshire. The park is within the range of Saint Peter’s conservation area and it is listed as the Grade 2 in National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. You can use taxi caversham to reach the garden.

Between 1616 to 1681 Thomas Loveday laid out the gardens as a private retreat that surrounded a mansion. Rectory grounds were sold to the Reading Corporation in 1933 and they demolished the house. Initially they wanted to use a part of the area for building of roads but the gardens opened to the public in 1934 Easter. Right now Reading Borough Council owns the Caversham Court. This site has been used for religious reasons by local pagans until it was closed for restoration. The reopening of garden was on 7th August 2009.

The garden contains a lot of amazing features like a riverside garden gazebo, there are retaining walls to the raised work that leads to the gazebo, there is also a two storey gazebo that was built in 1663 and considered one of the oldest examples in the country that was partially restored in 1980. The garden has beautiful landscape by the river Thames and it has an interesting history. People come here with friends and family for picnics and there is also a coffee shop nearby that serves some amazing delicacies with homemade cakes.
